Wildcat Creek with water flowing through riparian corridor

San Leandro Creek

San Leandro Creek covers nearly 50 square miles of the East Bay Hills before emptying into the San Francisco Bay between Oakland and San Leandro. Two large dams and reservoirs, Lake Chabot and Upper San Leandro Reservoir provide drinking water and regulate the flow of water in San Leandro Creek. They also prevent anadromous fish movements from the Bay to undeveloped and nearly pristine headwaters.

This watershed includes Kaiser Creek, Moraga Creek, Redwood Creek, Rimer Creek, San Leandro Creek below Lake Chabot, Upper San Leandro Creek.
