The East Bay Stewardship Network (EBSN) connects land stewardship practitioners around a common mission: to support thriving ecosystems and climate adaptability across our East Bay landscapes.
Why?
Nature is boundless. But the agencies and organizations that steward it are not.
The EBSN grew from the idea that we must work together if we are going to care for the region’s parks and open spaces in a way that reflects the interconnectedness of these landscapes and the human and wild communities that depend upon them.
Although the East Bay’s open spaces are protected from development, they continue to be vulnerable to climate change, wildfire, invasive species, habitat loss, and more. For the first time, the many groups entrusted with these amazing places can come together and strategically coordinate their work across boundaries. It also offers new ways for community members to help support these places that they love.
Together, we can most effectively ensure that these places not only persist but thrive for many generations to come.

Who?
The EBSN’s core members include land management agencies and organizations, special districts, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions. We are excited to welcome additional members including local Tribes and private working landowners in the future.
The EBSN also provides ways for others to support specific projects or programs, regional research, public education, or community engagement work.
